Registration for ICTC 3.0 is open until 31st October 2025
This innovation competition is open to all primary and secondary school students across Malaysia.
Each group must consist of 2 to 4 participants from the same school. There is no limit to the number of groups that can register from one school.
Registration and digital poster submission must be completed through the Google Form provided.
Registration Deadline: 31st October 2025
The submitted file must be named according to the following format:
Full Name of Group Leader_School Name
Example: Lee Che Hwa_Sekolah Menengah Seri Serdang
Required poster format:
Orientation: Portrait
Size: A1 (594 × 841 mm)
File format: JPEG or PDF

The competition consists of two stages:
Preliminary Stage: A screening process will be conducted based on the submitted digital posters to identify the finalists after the registration deadline.
Final Stage: Selected innovation projects will advance to the final stage. The list of finalists will be officially announced on 6th November 2025.
The Final Stage will be conducted on-site at Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail (UPM); however, virtual participation is available only for participants from East Malaysia.
Information for Finalists
All innovation materials must be displayed during the competition. A table will be provided for each group to exhibit their project during the judging session.
Participants are required to display their poster and, if possible, their prototype or project materials during judging.
The poster must clearly explain the following aspects:
Research problem and project motivation
Project background
Research approach
Physics concepts
Product potential
Each group will be given 10 minutes for the poster presentation and 5 minutes for the Question-and-Answer (Q&A) session with the judges. The Q&A session will take place immediately after the presentation.
All winners will receive one (1) certificate per group. The list of awards is as follows:
Certificate of Appreciation – Gold Award
Certificate of Appreciation – Silver Award
Certificate of Appreciation – Bronze Award
ICTC 3.0 will provide medals and additional certificates upon request, subject to an additional fee for each medal and certificate.
Participants who fail to comply with the above rules will be disqualified from the competition.
This poster competition is open to students, researchers, engineers, and science officers from public and private pre-university colleges, universities and industry.
The fee charged depends on the type of participation as stated on the website.
The competition will be conducted primarily on-site; virtual mode is only allowed for East Malaysia and International participants.
Participants need to prepare the following items:
Abstract (submitted digitally during registration)
Presentation poster (printed and brought during the competition)
Other related innovative materials (if any; brought during the competition)
Participants are given 15 minutes for a poster presentation and 5 minutes for a question and answer-session with the jury. A question and answer session will be conducted immediately after the presentation.
The poster must explain the following aspects:
Research problems and project motivation
Project background
Research approach
Material concept and product potential
Innovations that have never been presented at any innovation event
Original innovation results from participants and is not copied or copied from third parties
The poster must follow the prescribed format based on the example on the website. The format of the poster is as follows:

File type: JPEG or PDF

The file name sent must follow the following format: Full Name of Presenter_Institution. For example, Ahmad Bin Abu_UPM.
Participants who fail to comply with the above regulations will have their participation cancelled.
